If you are new to AvrioBooks
- Open the link in the invitation email.
- The sign-up page opens with your email address filled in and locked, because the invitation is for that address.
- Enter your name and choose a password, then select Create account.
- You join the business automatically with the role you were invited as.
If you already have an account
- Sign in first, using the same email address the invitation was sent to.
- Open the invitation link again. You are added to the business and taken to its dashboard.
If something goes wrong
| Message | What it means |
|---|---|
| This invitation link is not for you. | You are signed in with a different email address. Sign out and sign in with the invited address. |
| It appears that your invitation has expired, please ask the admin to resent. | The link is no longer valid, for example it was replaced or deleted. Ask the administrator to resend it. |
| The invitation link was incorrectly entered, please check. | The link was cut off. Copy the whole link from the email. |
Before you accept
An invitation comes from a business administrator and includes the role you will have. The role decides what you can see and do: for example an Advisor can work on everything except managing users, while a Read only user can look but not change anything. If the access is not what you expected, ask the administrator to adjust it after you join; they can fine-tune it feature by feature.
After you join
- You land on the business’s dashboard, and its name appears in the business switcher at the top left.
- If you belong to several businesses, use the switcher to move between them. See Switch between businesses.
- If the business requires two-factor authentication you will be asked to turn it on before you carry on. See Turn on two-factor authentication.
Quick checklist if the link will not work
- Copy the whole link from the email into your browser; long links are sometimes cut in two by email apps.
- Make sure you are signed in with the email address the invitation was sent to, or signed out so you can create a new account with it.
- Ask the administrator to resend the invitation if it has been replaced or deleted.
Your plan’s user limit applies to the business, not to you, so you can join as many businesses as you are invited to.
