Making Tax Digital software for sole traders and landlords
Keep digital records, connect to HMRC and send your quarterly updates from the same place you run your books.
Making Tax Digital for Income Tax replaces the single annual return with regular digital updates. It began in April 2026 for sole traders and landlords with qualifying income above £50,000, and it widens in April 2027 to income above £30,000 and April 2028 to income above £20,000. If it applies to you, you need software that keeps your records digitally and sends updates to HMRC.
AvrioBooks keeps your invoices, bills and bank activity in one set of books, then lets you connect to HMRC, fetch your obligations, upload and map your income and allowable expenses, review the totals and submit. A history keeps every update you have sent. Our plain-English guide explains who needs to join and when.
Making Tax Digital in AvrioBooks needs the Standard plan or above and depends on HMRC approval. Contact us to confirm availability before relying on it for a live submission.
